Do You Ever Overthink A Situation??? See if you can related to this…
On occasion, I can get something in my head that I get concerned/worried about, and I over analyze it to death. It can be something so simple that I have blown completely out of proportion. What if this? What if that? What will happen if I do this/that? Etc. Etc. Before I know it, I have worked myself into a tizzy?? LOL That is when I grab my journal/pen and seek a spiritual perspective that always calms me down and reminds me of the bigger picture with incredible clarity. Once I receive their guidance, I have to say I really laugh at myself for getting all worked up over nothing and realize I should have known better…..until the next time!
One day quite a few years ago, I was writing in my journal..seeking inspiration about some type of issue, sharing my concerns about overthinking a particular situation. I was scribbling all the details on the page, not holding back with any of my thoughts. That was when their immediate response to me was…… “Cheryl, Stop Thinking Like A Human!!”
At first, I was a little surprised, but it was said with their sense of humor and love. Boy did I laugh!! That line certainly got my attention and the sentiment behind it that was intended for me, and I have never forgotten it. They never scold! I was reminded that the angels knew after all these years of my gaining their insight and wisdom, I have learned that there was no reason to worry. I had temporarily gotten too caught up in worry and overthinking that I neglected to remain in faith. Now I absolutely love that line and use it on myself and crack up laughing when I hear it in my head. (Maybe it will be the title of my upcoming book?????;) 😉 It goes to show you how we can make ourselves so stressed unnecessarily.
Now if I get caught up in a concerning thought that starts to get me to go down that road, I check in with my pendulum and ask “Am I overthinking this?” If my pendulum says Yes, then I simply turn it over to the angels or God and ask them to please handle it. There you go, now it’s off my plate!
On several occasions I have mentioned to others, as a joke, that I am going to start an organization and call it OVERTHINKERS ANONYMOUS. I will nominate myself as President and anyone can join. Something tells me I am not alone on this topic! But there is hope…… and it’s called faith.
