Maddie’s Message from Heaven

This is the message that I requested and received about 2 hours after Maddie went to Heaven.
To Our Sweet Maddie Girl, (who was 16 yrs old)
You must know how much we love/loved you and will miss you. I believe you are at peace now..no more pain, stomach or shaking issues. We wanted you to be free.What do you want to tell us about what it was like and your new freedom?
To my wonderful family,
I feel great and full of energy..energy that I haven’t had for a long time. There were many here to welcome me, some you know and some you didn’t from other times ( from other lives of mine). Your Papa Joe was here with his big, bright light..brighter than all the others to get my attention. While Papa Joe and I didn’t know each other while I was with you, I remember him from another time at the pet shop. So it was a bit of a reunion for both of us.
The gratitude I have for your decision to release me from my physical condition has no human words. Please don’t think that you waited too long either…though my way of telling you it was time for sure was because of my stomach issues.
Your family was so perfect for me and me for you. I am glad you waited for me!! There were so many things that you taught me about unconditional love--something that dogs don’t always experience. There was never a time that I regretted being in the beautiful Davey family. And it was my job to be somewhat of an ambassador of resilience and bridge your old and new family.
I will have more to share at different times because I have gained a lot of wisdom. Who knows..you may see me (encounter my soul) again in your life times as humans. But I am going to stay here in Heaven and play, visit and do my job of watching over you from here for a while. You all will always be in my heart, as I will be in yours. God, the angels and St. Francis have already welcomed me home and said …what a good job I did!! That makes me very happy..thanks to all of you.
I will send you reminders of me in different ways. So please smile when you see them! You took care of “Business” today!! LOL. It’s okay to laugh!!
(“Do business” was our family’s code phrase when it was time to go outside to go to the bathroom!!)
